2nd Year Finished!

April 15th 2011 marks the end of my second year at Lincoln School of Art & Design!

This year was more of a learning experience than first year was, the brief were bigger, and it tested not only my graphic design ability but also my time management skills.

Starting a blog at the end of the year seems backwards, I should of really started this at the beginning of the year so I had an account of my year, oh well at least it's in place for next year.

So I guess what follows is gonna be my years work in a backwards order, starting with my Final Major Project first.

So here we go my first post.. with the last thing I've done this year at Uni

My Final Major Project had the theme of International Women's Day as they celebrated there centenary this year, with this in mind I choose to celebrate one of this decades greatest women,

'Eleanor Roosevelt'  now everybody has heard of Eleanor the First Lady of America, but do they know she was a journalist? Writing a newspaper column everyday for 26 years, this fact is the theme throughout my project, celebrating an educating the public.

Starting with an 'Exhibition'

This led me to produce a series of wall vinyl's

And a Factual Promotional Video

Within the 'Exhibition' I wanted to feature a snap shot into the environment Eleanor worked in, so I created an installation for public viewing.

I created the installation and then photographed it.

I also created a 32pp book as a catalog of some of Eleanor's most inspiring columns within the subject of women, I will post images of the book when I've popped into the studio and photographed it.
