Royal Society of Arts

For over 250 years the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has been a cradle of enlightenment thinking and a force for social progress. Their approach is multi-disciplinary, politically independent and combines cutting edge research and policy development with practical action

The following work reflects one of this years RSA briefs, With the title of

'Make Something Disappear'

Choose a product that consumes significant resources to produce and distribute and use design to reduce or eliminate its negative impact. Either design the product differently, or design a way for people to do without it

I decided to eliminate the physical product of an instruction manual, as we globally waste 10 billion tonnes of paper per year.

The next four images show my solution to this problem.
